About DDR

To build a national Indigenous owned business that delivers training and jobs to Indigenous people, closing the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous employees.

Be respectful to ourselves, others and the diverse culture and heritage of the places in which we live and work

A fair and honest approach in all our dealings

Honouring our commitments

Responding positively to others

Each of us “getting it right and on time”

Willingness to “have a go” and find better ways

In our people, equipment and work

Of individual and team performance and supporting personal growth

Our goal is to be the best indigenous contractors in Australia.

What this means to us is:

  • Being the contractor that clients and partners want to work with
  • Being the contractor that the best people want to work for
  • Achieving operational excellence through industry best practice
  • Creating the best environment to enable our people to succeed
  • Providing the best solutions to meet our clients’ needs

As a self-performing contractor the capability of our people is directly related to our business capability. The driving force underpinning our growth is our strong belief in employing the best people and providing them with the opportunities, support and work environment to succeed.

Employee development programs are focused on a genuine long-term commitment to investing in our people and providing career paths. This is manifested in a number of current programs targeted at professional, supervisory and trade employees.

Our culture of encouraging people to “have a go” and rewarding them is well recognised. We value our people highly and believe it is important that our employees feel part of a team – a team that looks out for each other and works hard together to deliver high performance.

It is important that our employees feel part of a family; where we are concerned about each other’s safety and wellbeing. We are proud of our long term stable workforce that has fostered and embedded a mature organisational culture.

Our culture is underpinned by a strong company-wide commitment to health, safety and the environment.

We have undertaken significant development of our HSE systems to ensure our systems are current and relevant to the needs of our business and our clients.

Today, these systems are delivering a strong internal culture with performance to match – and this has been well recognised and rewarded by our clients and industry bodies.

We recognise our projects create a large environmental footprint and are conscious of our responsibility to respect, protect and enhance our environment as our responsible actions will benefit future generations.

We also acknowledge Indigenous Australians’ deep spiritual connections with the land and water.
